The folding iPhone is still in the testing stage but Apple is working on new Glass technology
New leaked details according to John Prosser talks about iPhone’s new foldable phone. Apple is working on a new foldable prototype that has Samsung folding Panel with a hinge mechanism for folding iPhone. Apple has begun testing the actual foldable display panel with a proper hinge. According to John Prosser Apple is developing something called “Chemically Strengthened Ceramic Shield Folding Glass” which as one can guess has something to making new chemical technology that would allow the iPhone fold better and probably better foldable phone without a hinge. Since it’s just speculation now as to what Apple plans to do with the Foldable iPhone, we only know that Apple is testing clamp shell foldable and inward folding like Samsung Z Fold.

Since Apple is testing glass instead of plastic its great. Glass is significantly better than plastic as used by Samsung in their Foldable. By the time Apple releases it’s foldable phone there will already be 4th generation foldable devices so it makes sense Apple would work on Glass technology to be ahead of the competition.
