This year 2020 pandemic if anything made us realize we must future proof our technology for a post-pandemic world. Technology like contactless payment, video calling, and contact tracing can help us future proof for pandemic and bring us into a new world. Businesses around the world and in India driven by a pandemic fueled focus and enabled more investment than ever in digital technology. Firms have recognized that customers need a flexible technological foundation. Future technology will strive for better sustainability if everyone works towards a single goal of making it possible. The workplace will significantly change as work from home may be embraced. It won’t suit every job but many jobs which involve working from the computer which there are more than many could have the opportunity to spend more time at home and finish their work. Contactless everything is also a possibility where more 90%of things are contactless like transferring money to opening doors everything contactless so that no one touches anything and more hygiene. Contactless technology could change everything from locks and payments to unlocking cars or simply buying something from the supermarket. There is obviously a downside to this which has a vulnerability of hacking but I am sure there are other ways to be contactless.
Online education has seen a big boost especially people who want to get skills and learn things online education has thrived so help people get upskilled. AI(artificial intelligence) and cloud based computing will go to a new level as it would require less people to maintain it. There be still a lot of people needed to maintain it but in time of crisis it would be good enough to take care of it self. Automation would increase significantly so that less humans are required for an emergency like pandemic of course the essential humans would be required but automation can help make the work load easier.
In conclusion the future of technology has been given a push for the better due to the pandemic. A future where technology improves and help our lives for the better.
